The department of Cardio vascular and pulmonaryphysiotherapy aims to impart evidence based evaluation, clinical reasoning and management skills in the areas of cardiac rehabilitation and preventive cardiology; disabilities arising from vascular dysfunction, supportive care for dysfunctions arising after abdominal surgery and obstetric and gynaecological conditions and pulmonary disease and dysfunction.
The department aims to instil skills of evaluation and a reasoning based problem solving approach in acute care management of general surgical, gynaecological, cardiac and pulmonary diseases. The major focus if intervention to decrease morbidity, hospital stay and quality of life. Interventions include educational strategies, rehabilitation and acute management
