Physiotherapy is a clinical health profession that employs natural methods of exercise, education and assistive technology in order to minimise dysfunction and augment function.
Physiotherapists are an integral part of the rehabilitation team who work in tandem with other health professionals to enhance enablement of an individual during and following disease/ dysfunction or injury. With a firm understanding of sciences consisting of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and exercise sciences coupled with a grounding in humanities, physiotherapists work towards enhancing function and participation.
The BPT course is 4 years 6 months in duration. The first 2 years are devoted to basic sciences and the last 2 years include hands on clinical practice in JSS Hospital. The course is affiliated to RGUHS.
